How Good Is ZT Alloy?
Steel roofing materials are tested for corrosion-resistance in a salt spray cabinet per ASTM B117 and also in a condensation chamber per ASTM D4585. Most roofing material manufacturers boast when exceeding 2,000 hours before their material begins to develop red rust, but Follansbee materials surpassed an astounding 26,000 hours with absolutely zero sign of red rust.
